Halfway There

Well, a couple of things happened this week in Novel Land. I received an “author update” from eLectio Publishing, the publisher of On Wings of the Morning. It made me feel special, like a real author! Thank you, eLectio,  and thank you, Jesse Greever, company CEO!

I haven’t received the publisher’s edit for the novel so far, but I expect to.

The next bit of news: I am at the halfway point with the third novel in the Beyond the Blue Horizon series, On the Wings of Angels. The story is percolating along at 40,000 words, and interesting and exciting things are happening to Otto and the crew, even if I do say so myself.

So, stay tuned! We continue to roll along down Composing (and Publishing) Highway!

About huckfinn47

I taught high school English for 32 years, all at Robinson High School in Fairfax, VA. My students called me "Mr. V," and I was fortunate to have some terrific young people in my classes. I have made contact with some of them, particularly on Facebook, and enjoy seeing what they're up to. My other nickname, given to me by our then assistant pastor Jim Vaught, is Lieutenant Dan, after the Gary Sinise character in Forrest Gump, one of my favorite movies. I never got anywhere near military service, so the name is somewhat ironic. I greatly admire our troops and respect their sacrifices. On the Wings of Morning is my first novel worth talking about.
